Reunion Statistics

Nationally the most popular months to hold a class reunion are:

  • July 23%
  • August 21%
  • June 12%
  • October 12%
  • September 10%
  • November 5%
  • May 4%

The number of Alumni who attend their class reunion is typically in the range of 20-30%. A higher than 30% turnout should be considered a very successful reunion. A 30% attendance for a NHS Reunion would be approximately 120.

80-90% of Alumni attending the reunion will bring a guest.  That would be approximately 230 for a NHS Reunion.

On average more than 60% of Alumni still reside in their home state.  That would be approximately 240 for the NHS Class of 1990.

According to Myevent.com, "87% of Alumni that attended their class reunion found the reunion to be extremely gratifying, and said they would attend the next class reunion as well".

According to Reunions Unlimited - The average reunion attendance is:

  • 20% to 25% for 10-year reunions
  • 30% or better for 20-year through 40-year reunions
  • 35% to 40% for 50-year reunions.

Women Statistics

I've found some info related to women, but I haven't found any for men yet. So here are some reunion statistics for women age 35-49 according to a Cyberpulse survey commissioned by the cosmetics company Jafra.

  • 31% would start getting ready more than a half-year prior.
  • 15% would need three to six months to get ready.
  • 75% would buy a new outfit.
  • 50% would get a new hairstyle and/or diet.
  • 88% would spend up to $1,000 or "what ever it takes" to look their best.
  • 33% wouldn’t go if they were unhappy with the way they looked.
  • 15% wouldn’t go if feeling unsuccessful.
  • 5% wouldn’t go if they don’t have a significant other.
  • 48% would choose to arrive at the Reunion without any wrinkles.
  • 27% want to be draped in diamonds.
  • 13% want to be on the arm of a gorgeous husband.
  • 12% want to show up with no gray hair.
